Frequently Asked Questions!

1: What does SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED do?

It’s part stand-up, part sketch comedy, part improv, and totally interactive show based in Long Island, NY. They get the audience involved with everything from giving us suggestions, providing sound effects, and even playing right along on stage. From comedy clubs to fundraisers to corporate events, it's something totally different.

2. Is the group clean?

Every show is tailor-fitted for the audience. The show they did in front of 7,000 people at the Riverhead Jazz Festival was vastly different from the corporate show they performed for 200 accountants in Manhattan which was a complete change from the outdoor Firehouse Fundraisers they perform for 500 people which was nothing like the midnight comedy club show they performed last week. Content is defined first by the environment, then by the audience themselves as the show progresses.

3. I’ve seen these guys before, haven’t I?

Together and separately Scott Baker and Al Isaacs have been seen on stage performing with the likes of Kevin James (King of Queens, Hitch), Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), on screen with Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson in 'Anger Management', Sandra Bullock in 'Two Weeks Notice', and on television with spots on VH-1's 'Celebrity Showdown', ABC's 'America's Funniest People', and CBS' 'CSI-Miami'.

4. What suggestion do they get from the audience the most?

The Civil War.

5. Are these guys really making this stuff up or is it scripted?

On the spot. In fact, often Al will combine several suggestions from the audience just to create totally original situations that would have been impossible to prepare for. Nova Scotian porn movies, Illegal Church basement bars, and Columbo investigating a murder during the signing of the Declaration of Independence all developed spontaneously, and with hilarious results!

6. Has anyone ever undressed Scott on stage?

Yes. During a fundraiser for a Veteran’s Society no less. With her husband sitting no more than 50 feet away an energetic gal in the prime of life decided that ‘No Arms’ would be the perfect opportunity to free Mr. Baker from the confines of his shirt and cop a feel. No charges were pressed and Scott won’t return her calls.
